Devotional April 21, 2015
And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord.” And they did so.
God hardened Pharaoh’s heart so that he would pursue the Israelites because God wanted to be glorified.
God doesn’t do things just to help me out or to be a nice guy. Even the toughest times happen because God allows it. And the reason for good things and bad things in my life is to bring glory to God.
Dear Father, thank you for working in my life. I pray that you would help me to remember that everything you do for me is for your glory, not mine. And I pray that you would help me to give you the glory and not try to take it for myself. In Jesus’ name, amen.
NOTE: This devotion has a lot to do with my post We Are Sheep.
