For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10
Paul was explaining that God had told him not to boast about himself, but that by being humble he would show others Christ. He then said he was content with all these things that people would say are bad because it brought more people to God.
I must become like Paul and be content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities because that will bring more people to Christ than boasting in how great I am.
Dear Father, I pray that you would put more of a burden for the lost into my heart. I pray that this burden would become so great that I, like Paul, would be content with all of these things that people would say are bad, so that I can bring more people to know you. In Jesus name, amen.
